Research Interests

Ecology of soil protozoa. Diversity, taxonomy and physiology of heterotrophic flagellates in soil. Interactions between bacteria and protozoa. Diversity versus function in soil ecosystems. Fungivorous protozoa. The effect of pesticides on soil protozoa. Protozoan activity in soil contaminated with hydrocarbons and heavy metals. Anaerobic and microaerophilic soil protozoa.
