In addition the network has had an important share in the organisation of a workshop on: "Social Evolution in Vertebrates and Invertebrates: Common Principles and Idiosyncratic Differences", sponsored by the European Science Foundation and held at Losehill Hall, Derbyshire, UK from 18-23 June 1997. The network will organise no
further meetings, but the new INSECTS network
(2001-2004) will start a new programme of workshops.
